what are we doing right now?

last updated: may 15th, 2026!

applying to jobs, getting interviews but not getting the jobs, and making art that keep our souls alive - that's the current manyface modus operandi. at the current moment, we are waiting to hear back from an interview we felt very good about, though... it's for being a mental health peer supporter, which has been a dream job ever since we could imagine a world where we would be able to work.

we are part of an artists' collective in our city, and a lot of exciting opportunities come from that! our art was recently in an exhibition in another city, and said exhibition will reopen after it relocates back to our city. as part of it happening again, we plan to host an open mic night, which is something we've never done before, but since we perform our poetry often, we don't anticipate it being too terrifying...

since we are often performing, we are constantly generating new material - we write a lot of poetry and pretty often. we're trying to publish the backlog of our existing works as collections on our itch.io, and have recently self-published THE WATER ON STONE in this way!

before we publish the next collection, we want to participate in make literally anything jam with a poem/abstract art comic. we are also making an abstract art zine with 10 other people, who have completed their works - we just need to curate and organise the actual pdf... which is pretty exciting. big things are coming!

we make lots of art all the time, and recently got super into exploring mixed media between physical and digital art. at the start of the year, we developed the basics of a conlang writing system, but that's yet to become a major project/fixation, alongside the ryona vn we're trying to write. but we have hope that these, as well as our desire to make music, will result in something interesting and beautiful!

we're constantly on a journey to improve our physical health and it may be slow and difficult, but it is worth it and important to us... recently we got some good bloodwork results, which is nice. we also finally got a therapist for our mental health.

okay, but what about media and hobbies? well, we really like to read books and listen to music. we mostly read translated (usually japanese) contemporary fiction, and we listen to just about any genre that vibes with us, usually on the electronic side, but it really depends on who's listening to it. we also like to watch films and anime, and are trying really hard to let ourselves play games.

in conclusion, life is so incredibly precious and wonderful, but we need to get a "real" job pretty badly. it's always like this, but one day it won't be - and life will be even more gorgeous then.
